Areeya was born in the mountains of Thailand in 1964, and was part of the Lisu Hilltribe, located near Chaing Rai. She was a shining example for all, with her beautiful smile, and warm personality. She loved cooking Thai food for others, and especially loved gardening.

As a bedside nurse and caregiver for over 20 years, she touched many lives in a positive way with her compassion and work ethic.

In August of 2021, she was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). She fought the disease for 28 months but lost the battle in December of 2023.

Areeya is survived by her Husband (Patrick), her (3) children (Tanya, Mikey, Pak), her (3) stepchildren (Michell, Mandy, Brenda), and her grandson Christopher.    

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, 2024; 1:00 p.m. at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, Spokane Valley, WA followed by a luncheon reception.  To leave condolences for the family, please visit Areeya’s Tribute Wall.
